Global Partners Digital (GPD)
Global Partners Digital (GPD) is a social purpose company dedicated to fostering a digital environment underpinned by human rights and democratic values. They do this by making policy spaces and processes more open, inclusive and transparent, and by facilitating strategic, informed and coordinated engagement in these processes by public interest actors. In 2016, GPD supported APC for the implementation of the “Africa regional workshop, “The Internet as a Driver of Free Expression in Africa”.
This report includes overall reactions, summaries, key points from each of the panel discussions and recommendations based on discussions during a Day 0 event at the 2017 UN Internet Governance Forum.

This briefing paper is based on extensive conversation that began in a regional civil society consultation on opinion, expression and religious freedoms in Jakarta in 2015.
This study focuses on nine countries in Asia – Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam – which have recorded a significant number of violations of freedom of expression on account of religion or religious sensitivities.
The guide is designed to help human rights defenders working on human rights online navigate the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process, with resources and case studies of real life advocacy to help inform and structure engagement.
