The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with participants from all over the world dedicated to keeping the internet secure, stable and interoperable. It promotes competition and develops policy on the internet's unique identifiers. Through its coordination role of the internet's naming system, it has an important impact on the expansion and evolution of the internet. In 2015, ICANN supported APC for the production of the publication “The Working Group on Internet Governance: 10th Anniversary Reflections” In 2013 the ICANN NonCommercial Users Constituency (NCUC) supported the African School on Internet Governance (AfriSIG). In 2016, ICANN supported APC with an African IGF Sponsorship and provided support for the 2016 AfriSIG.
