The MacArthur Foundation supported APC’s early network development through a grant to IGC Networks in the United States, which enabled the set-up of grass-roots non-profit email providers throughout the Americas, the former Soviet Union, and Asia. MacArthur also made a substantial contribution to the development of APC’s ActionApps.
