Solving the E-waste Problem (StEP) is a joint science-based initiative of several UN organisations and coordinated by the United Nations University. StEP’s work is organised in task force groups, including members from industry, academia, government and NGOs, according to the five principles of StEP: 1) Policy, 2) ReDesign, 3) ReUse 4) ReCycling and 5)Capacity Building.
StEP members contribute financially and in kind to the work of the organisation, which entails research, e-waste policies development around the world, development of a unique e-waste solutions database, e-waste consultation, etc.
