MFIs are face-to-face and online gatherings where activists working on different intersecting issues come together to strategise and activate how we make this feminist internet. In this two-part podcast series, activists at the MFI2022 convening share their experiences and thoughts.
APC works to root self and collective care in its work, balancing agency and accountability and acknowledging the power rooted in systemic oppression and that we come to spaces with diversities and various traumas which impact our ability to participate in collective spaces.
The MFI Africa convening was made up of multiple facets of connection and conversation between a participant group of African feminists, diverse in geographical origin and field of work. This report presents a perspective of those conversations, drawn from materials created throughout the meeting.
Organised by the APC Women’s Rights Programme, the four-day MFI convening brought together feminists from 18 African countries to contribute towards the ongoing work of collectively imagining and locating diverse understandings and experiences of digital technologies and spaces.
